10 minutes til separation from the mother ship

Greg: "It looks like something Buzz Lightyear would fly! It's circling overhead, there's a chase plane - it has to get to 50000 feet, and go off to the east a little bit, and then they light that candle. There's less people here than I expected, given the media coverage. It was t-shirt weather at dawn, looking forward to the "splashdown party"....

The launch is being covered by CNN live, for the first time in years I am wishing I had a tv.... Hell, I'm thinking of banging on my neighbor's door....

there is a streaming media feed but it's saturated, and worse, it's wrapped in a internet exploder wrapper that is totally unessessary - the base url is: http://live.channel6.us:8082 - but I haven't heard a peep of sound from it and the images are downloading really slow - I think all this public slashdotting came as a surprise to everyone...

God I hate countdowns. Gonna go bang on my neighbor's door....
