  Some pics and music from the Heinlein Centennial

So, yea, I should be writing about the Centennial. Instead, I'm editing down music and getting permission to publish it, as well as getting some talks transcribed... as well as doing some paying work, and seeing the wonders of Kansas City. The blogging backlog keeps getting bigger and I'm at 99.5% disk full...

I've uploaded some new pictures from Nicaragua and the Heinlein Centennial to my flickr site.

Evan mixed down his new song - in which he channels Adam Selene. It's a heart tugger called "Home" (mp3), especially touching if you've read Moon is a Harsh Mistress.

Evan also mixed down the second performance of "Rhysling and me" (mp3). When Evan kicked in with his harmonies on the second chorus I had chills run down my spine and stopped dead. I'm glad that song is shorter now than the original epic and we can get on with the happy stuff quicker.

I have HOURS of the first night of filking that is currently too big to download to edit from my website, and a bunch of mixed down recordings I need permission to publish.... yo, filkers, you want yer songs up? Get ahold of me....

Priorities, kitten, priorities.

Half the interview came back from the transcription service, the other half I guess I'll have to do by hand to meet the deadline...

and I'd much rather see the KC jazz museum today than sit and type right now. I'll have all the time in the world for typing shortly, this is a time for experiencing!

I was glad to meet you and Evan at the conference.

I don't know whether you recorded "Home on Lagrange" late Friday night, with Margaret playing guitar and me singing, but if so I wouldn't mind giving permission. Higgins at fnal dot gov.
