Listening in on the supernova conference
I'm listening into the keynotes from the supernova conference. I couldn't get in as press - but now I've got the best seat in the house -my office in my house. It's better than being there - I've got my cat on my lap, my irc connection to work, a hyperfast server doing a compile, a fresh cup of coffee, and I'm smoking, and I have some music playing in the background....
Telling quotes: "The sales of IP based PBX has surpassed the sales of conventional PBXes"... "the capacity of the data networks today is now three times that of the conventional phone network"....
And "It is difficult to be doing the innovation in the VOIP industry when the bottom three layers of the stack are controlled by infrastructure companies opposed to the innovation in the first place... [] Do not underestimate the powers of the infrastructure owners to spoil the party".
